This letter tells in graphic detail about a killer disease that spreads at wedding receptions like a dark fiendish plague. It's the evil virus known as
Receptionis Wayto Boringus. And once it infects you, it could mean the death of your wedding reception and possibly your marriage!
Imagine your reception.
You've just gotten married. It's a beautiful afternoon. Love is in the air and you are ready to celebrate. You arrive at the reception hall and your guests are standing around looking bored. There's no music playing. Why? Because the DJ is running late. You panic and reach for the telephone. No answer. 30 minutes later the real life version of Beavis and Butthead arrive wearing dirty Ozzy Rules T-shirts and torn Levis. They
set up a beat up home stereo system on top of milk crates and then put on a scratchy 45.
THEY DON'T CARE!
You scream about how they are late and they don't care. You ask to use their microphone for your best man's toast. They grunt out, "Oh sorry don't got one ah doze dude!" None of your guests can hear the toast, so there is no applause and an uncomfortable silence fills the room.
THEY DON'T HAVE YOUR MUSIC!
Finally it is time for your first dance but the DJ doesn't have your song. He doesn't have the song for your Father Daughter Dance, Wedding Party Dance, or any of the music that you requested. In fact all that he brought
were the records he
says are "cool" and that is totally inappropriate for you and your guests. Even though over the telephone they told you that they had a wide variety of music.
YOUR WEDDING IS RUINED!
No One Dances. The party never really gets started, the DJ continues to play inappropriate music that is way too loud. He stumbles through his announcements and continues to drink all of your beer. Your guests suddenly have somewhere else to be and they make a fast exit, and your reception, the one that you have been planning for, saving for and dreaming about your entire life ends in total disaster and heartache! You had dreamed about a day filled with music, dancing and laughter, but all you got were tears!
NO REFUND!
You ask for a refund policy, and they tell you that they don't have a refund policy.
Does this really happen?
Yes! Every single weekend this happens to some unlucky couple.
Why did this happen?
Because 90% of Disc Jockeys (or bands for that matter) are
TRASH! TRASH! TRASH!
The average Disc Jockey or musician is not a professional. He is a weekend warrior with little or no experience. He's a kid in high school or college who is in it for the beer! He has no concern for your happiness and no experience or understanding about what it takes to make a wedding reception a wonderful memory of a lifetime.
Could this happen to you?
Yes, and quite easily.
Why?
Because the majority of brides and grooms (that's you) have no idea how to select a Disc Jockey for their wedding.
And why would you?
According to a survey of Brides and Grooms most chose their DJ in the following way; Some choose a DJ based on the lowest price. BUT "You always get what you pay for!"
Some folks choose a DJ based on their big Yellow Pages ad. Another mistake as a big yellow pages ad still tells you nothing about the DJ who will be at your wedding.
Some brides and grooms (especially when on a tight budget) hire a DJ simply because a well-meaning friend with a lot of CD's has volunteered to DJ for FREE! The problem with FREE entertainment is that it's worth exactly what you paid for it.
And last, some choose their DJ because a slick salesman told them that they offered two DJ's one to play music and one to coordinate. (This is the biggest mistake of all next to hiring the cheapest DJ).

If someone owns a big set of speakers and a bunch of CD's that only means that they have the tools to do a wedding. It does not mean that they have the skill! I am the owner of a very nice hammer, a saw and a bunch of nails. But you know what? I am not a Contractor. In fact I can't even build a bird house. That's right! I own the tools to be a contractor but I am not one. And I don't pretend to be one either.
If I advertised myself as a Contractor and was able to convince the public to hire me to build their houses, we'd have a lot of very poorly built houses.
Unfortunately there are many people who have the tools to be a DJ and do a wedding but they are not wedding DJ's.
NO LICENSING REQUIRED!
Unfortunately because the DJ industry does not require any type of trade school or licensing, many DJ's get away with ruining weddings week after week. Ask any Catering, Banquet Manager or Wedding Photographer about DJ's and brace yourself for the horror stories that will follow.
However I am a dammed good wedding DJ because I have the
tools, talent, and training backed with 16 years of experience.

What happens if my guests need motivation?
Occasionally every DJ encounters a group who for some reason needs a little (sometimes a lot) of motivation. Over the years we have developed "tricks of the trade" for motivating people who need it. We have almost a psychic ability for knowing what to do and can take an empty dance floor and make it full within seconds. Eliminating a lull in the party. (We have been thanked and complimented throughout the years on our ability to do this).
So what's the bottom line? How much do you charge?
In our business price is consistent with quality and only those who want the best will choose us. However you may find it interesting that our prices are only a bit more than the other DJ companies in the area. But you will find that this money is money well invested. The DJ will make or break your reception. Not the food, not the decorations, not the flowers!
